Yes needs more Mondriaan paintings, preferably as wheels
-
• #978
You do realise the wheels turn, right?
-
• #979
That usually goes straight to anti!
-
• #980
I'm well aware that wheels turn, yes. Hence the expression of doubt at the end of my post ;) The spesh would be anti even without the matching wheels imho.

Bravo

Sure this will need a training and a racing wheelset, spoke and disk will be the usual way to go but I really wanna see it with shallow black rims and 36h spokes.
7600 hubs with custom side covers?
-
• #984
also good choice of wheels, the mavic 5 spok looks hot
-
• #985
Training on all silver tb14s, novatec and 23c road tyres. Racing on full disc+spok and 20c track tubs
-
• #986
I know shallow rims are never rigid, but weren't tb14s really bendy?
-
• #987
Never noticed a lack of stiffness. but this is a track bike adn it should only ever wear tubs. Mavic Reflex?
-
• #989
Theyre not noticeably bendy, but a good wheel build+36H+high flange hubs would negate that anyway
-
• #990
Yess, get a training wheelset built now. DA7600 to Reflex will do until you get the rest of the build sorted, then time for tarty wheels.

Porn VS Meh

• #993
Wrong.
(unless you mean disc + deep is meh...)
-
• #994
Or maybe this? Just to keep up the carbon game, I just hope they are available at 36h.
-
• #995
There is a place for both. You're going to look like a right twat on a disc etc in an SQT at LVV or Saturday Morning Intermediate Championships at HHV. Race wheels are for race days.

This thread is LOL.

Yes that frame could do with @hoops.

I vote Corima, disc on the back four spoke on the front.

I also vote for 36 hole, hand built training wheels. It's the utilitarian nature of them that I love. Form follows function.
It might look nice if the shapes from the painjob were continued on the front disc, probably not tho...
