This used to happen to me sometimes with a BT connection when using iPlayer, or even the BT Vision (or whatever it's called) service.

Turned out that it was a line problem. Which in turn revealed itself to be an unbelievabley shoddy phone socket.

My partner raised the very good question of how anyone was ever captivated or taken in by him? That was the excuse made by a lot of his contemporaries about why his behaviour wasn't questioned more, but I really can't understand how he's ever been seen as anything other than completely repulsive.

He was clearly some kind of sociopath, unable or unwilling to see how his behaviour affected others, and it was sad how his victims were either ignored or blamed themselves.
