I value my shins too much to learn how to flat pedals. Lazy bunny hops 4 lyf

This is why it's good to shave your legs. Also (more commonly) for road rash - when I had my nasty elbow-breaking off onto tarmac a few years back I was very glad I'd shaved my legs.
There's no telling this to MTBers of course and to be fair road rash is less of an issue :)
I suspect you should have tetanus if you've not had one within the last ten years. It's recommended for bites that are deep or dirty.

i'd be more worried about rabies than tetanus
-
• #658
Can dogs catch rabies from a human? I expect it's more likely to die from alcohol poisoning.

I remember you said you had some old Times, they should be perfectly fine. I used a pair of these with no troubles, even with the large amount of gloopy mud in Epping:

Did I misunderstand the meaning of treating the wound with alcohol?
-
• #661
Top Tip - The alcohol goes inside until you don't mind the alcohol on the outside.

@BareNecessities, is it possible to get the GPS (or is it called GPX) info from your Strava link for this ride?
Cheers -

I have no idea what I'm doing, but have sent you a file you should be able to use..

@BareNecessities brill ta very much, I 'll see if I can make use of that data.
Not sure about 54MPH but my underpants can attest to that the fact I was going tooooo fast at some points! -

I'll stick the rest of the Epping rides on there later, so there's easier access to the routes.

Maybe, but if mmcarthy shaved his legs, he could never go back to Belfast again.
-
• #671
Then again, leg hair creates a little unwelcome warmth, so perhaps that will sway him. :)

Who's late to the party? I'm late to the party.

I miss the Summer already.

It's not that cold.... could do another one when it's still dry....

Not even in London again until Christmas :-(
Hmm... definitely worth thinking about for the future, either way, time for a change of pedals me thinks.
Be interested to hear what the GP says if you end up going, hoping they don't demand you have a tetanus jab :(
