• It's alright thanks, been keeping it cleaned and wrapped so haven't been inspecting it too frequently. Looks fine now, might pop by the GP tomorrow just to be sure.

    A piece of advice I can definitely offer, if something similar happens to you, get your leg waxed right away. The repeated application and removal of plasters is the worst part of the whole situation.

  • This is why it's good to shave your legs. Also (more commonly) for road rash - when I had my nasty elbow-breaking off onto tarmac a few years back I was very glad I'd shaved my legs.

    There's no telling this to MTBers of course and to be fair road rash is less of an issue :)

    I suspect you should have tetanus if you've not had one within the last ten years. It's recommended for bites that are deep or dirty.
