I should say: they have to be pre-STI/Ergo period to deserve a place in here. That would mean pre 1990 but as it took some years before they were widely spread (e.g.: even "Big Mig" Indurain used downtube shifters in the 1991 Tour de France) say pre 1992?

This is from 94. Downtube shifters/braze-ons do signify this type of build imo

I don't know how old you are but when I was racing back in 1994 no one was still racing DT-shifters...

Maybe one that have yet to have integrated headset?

Or horizontal top tube before Giant brought out the compact geometry?
