I think the answer (to the fork question) I've seen before is kinesis.
On a related note, if anyone is looking to shed a steel disc fork that fits a pompetamine, hit me up. Ideally I'd like a straight blade one with more clearance at the Crown than the stock one; I assume this means a nature boy or similar disc fork.
