Anyone into drum brakes?
I bought a job lot off retrobike thinking I had a use for it all but turns out I used disc brakes instead.
There is:
A 26" front wheel, single wall rim on a Sturmey hub, never used and it'll come with a brand new cable assembly, you'll just need a clamp to attach the torque arm to your fork leg.
A Sturmey XRD3 rear hub. 36h 3 speed. This is just the hub, no fitting parts like cable, barrel adjuster, indicator rid etc.
A Sturmey AW 3 speed hub (no brake). Stamped with '79'. Really smooth and clean and shiny. Again though, no indicator rod of anything.
Finally a Gazelle front drum brake hub. 36 hole again. Uses a standard brake cable and has a bolt on nipple for the end. This is the smoothest spinning hub I've ever felt.
I bought all that (apart from the front cable assembly, that was another £6) plus a frame for £50. I've already sold the frame for £25 so if someone local would like to take the rest of the stuff off my hands you can have it all for £25.
