I was very disappointed to notice that my six month old Sinn 556 isn't keeping good time.
It's gaining 3 or 4 minutes a day. Lets see how good Page & Cooper are at sorting it out.

I saw one of these today for the first time. Really pretty watch. All the photos I've seen of it make it look... 'chunky' is a poor word, but some elements of the watch seemed slightly unbalanced in the pictures. It's not like that at all in reality - very elegant and similar proportions to a 114270 Explorer. Could do with a domed crystal, but that's a minor quibble.

someone might be interested, Dagaz is selling a lot of watch for half price, beautiful case , reasonable movement, sapphire.
Only for the next few days, I'd much rather this than a Seiko for the monies..

A flat timegrapher line like that is a lovely thing to see.
Received this non-running fusee watch made in Edinburgh in 1863. Hoping to learn how the hell they work!

Now all they need to do is ditch the hour marker blobs, replace the batons with 3-6-9-12 & make the hour hand match the minute hand then it'd be a really nice watch - I'd buy one!

In case anyone is interested in my Steinhart story.
I followed the instructions that Steinhart gave me over the phone, but they were quite short so I just put it in the original box, wrapped it in bubble wrap and sent it via Royal Mail with my order number, return address, and a brief description of what happened in the box.
Yesterday I finally received a reply to my email where they went in to great detail about how to package it, what to include (original sales invoice, return address highlighted, description of what's wrong) and also gave their FEDEX acc number and said to write that it was a watch for repair on the customs declaration.
Because I'd already sent it at this point I didn't include all of those things, nor did I even fill out a customs declaration.
So if you have a Steinhart, and you have a problem, I'd say either get them to be a little more forthcoming over the phone, or sit back and wait for their reply. It will come and it will be pretty in depth.

Anyone interested in either of these before they go to the charity shop?
Muji one on the left needs a new battery, Poljot is manual wind with quick date setting (IRRC), and runs fine
