Nice!!
Does this mean you need an extension to the bike stand in the living room? ;)

No cx1 :(
CX1 crank doesn't exist any more, the CX group uses the Force1 crank, which is in stock at Wiggle in some versions.
-
• #110381
Ah, swapping the groupset out?
-
• #110382
Yep realised this. Force 1 with 42T ordered from Rose this morning

Yeah, I really wanted the Apex version which was out of stock in my size. Test rode that and realised that I still don't really like Shimano.
Then I found some hydraulic Rival shifters on CNC-Bike for a cooperatively daft price (cheaper than a single lever/brake combo on Wiggle), very cheap Rival derailleurs on Ribble and hey presto.
I now have 11spd 105 and Hy-Rd spare...

Would.

boooooooooommmmmm!
with this angle you need a mavic seatpost...
cut cable and bar angle IMO
what is the pedals ?
-
• #110387
First choice has always been a silver Simplex SLJ seatpost (which later became the black Mavic one). But not found one in 26,6 yet - I've a 26,4 to swap...
Bar angle yeah to move a little. Which cable you think is too long?
Pedals are Cambio Rino.

• #110388
On the first picture it seems to have the 2 brake cable uncut , no ?
would like to see a steel chromed headset...

I think Im going to go 700 still,
Have no clue on what to go for. Still thinking CX is the way to go.

Concorde are rebadged other frames, usually Italian frames, but I've seen a rebadged track Merckx etc.
It may be they copied massi or its massi made :)
-
• #110391
Ah, I knew they've used Ciocc-made frames. Didn't know they took them from multiple places. Did a bit of digging and found a frame that looks exactly like mine (although different looking forks) in the 1998 concorde brochure , the Giro on page 9. For all I know, Massi bought and rebadged the frame too. Don't know too much about them to be honest except that it's pretty nicely made.

• #110392
Nope. I keep breaking things which keeps numbers down!
-
• #110393
Ah those. They're cut, but not cut very short. I always tend to leave them quite long, easier to pull tight if ever they need adjusting.

People's opinions on the macho king? Want a cx/all road bike and I loved my macho man to bits.
Anything similar for a better/similar price?
-
• #110395
all city = hipster tax
-
• #110396
I know I know... the macho man was a good price but the macho king seems a lot of money. But I can't find something I like as much without going custom.
Also I don't want China.

Bowman

trek crockett

• #110399
I second that, hidden guard mounts too. But then loads of CX offerings .. checked that niner deal I posted few days back?
-
• #110400
Niners still on closeout, including the 853 frameset. I like the Macho King over the Bowman though for steel and the Whisky fork
Ha! that's neat. As far as I can tell, my Massi frame is a copy of the Concorde elite classic. Same tubing, weld style and geo. Didn't realise the paintjob was copied too.
