Some personnal experience.
My DT Swiss 240s seem more impervious to the elements than the Hope hubs they replaced. Within a similar time period the Hope's needed a number of new bearings where as the DT Swiss are still rolling smoothly.
DT Swiss 240s, 28/28, Sapim D-Light spokes, DT Swiss 460DB rims. Solid and stiff wheels. Very smooth and no sign of bearing wear. I got the 240s hubs in an eBay bargain. Wouldn't pay RRP.
The Hope free hub noise clears crowds of zombie pedestrians loitering in the road. DT Swiss is pleasantly quiet.
