  • Cheers BRO. Bought a bunch of games, a few you mentioned, and some others. Steam really isn't ready for the living room is it? As much as they try... controller support is patchy and games often have launching problems, at least I find they do. Lost my favourite character in State of decay due to a mission auto starting as I passed close by. Had to turn off and have a little moment, think I'll start from scratch...

  • I find Steam's indicator as to whether or not a game has full controller support is pretty accurate. New stuff all works fine, some older stuff occasionally has issues the first time you launch.

In other news, I've accidentally bought a steering wheel and pedals. Any suggestions for driving games, I have Project Cars so far.

  • Assetto Corsa is definitely worth a look. Laps of Spa in a Lotus 49, absolute bliss, and occasional brown trouser moments.

  • In broken-record fashion, Assetto Corsa is the best driving by far. It's pretty much accepted that the physics has the competition beat hands-down. PCars might be a better racing game but I can happily spend hours just lapping AC's laser-scanned Nordschleife, it's epic.

Also if you're on PC, Assetto Corsa has the benefit of a very healthy modding scene. For starters I'd suggest the version of Donington at the very top of this list is worth checking out.

  • Aye, maybe I was just unlucky, bought a couple of "partial" and one wit full that all the reviews said was incorrect (didnt notice that). Its great having better graphics than console on my TV but the fact I often have to have a keyboard handy is really annoying... I just need Apple to release some machines with a decent GPU then I can answer all my gaming needs on an iMac. LOLZ.
