Between Tokyo and Yokohama (closer to Yokohama really).

this thread is what it's all about. A lovely ride, if I hadn't go the opportunity to get another frameset cheaply I'd be on the Ritchey too. I would say though, from an aesthetic POV you need to match up (white) saddle and bars. I would also say a pair of Zipp or FFWD wheels would set this off nicely with the white/red colour match.
I'm interested in just how much more practical the CX1 setup is in the long term. I'm running 36/46 ultegra and will be switching to disc next year. Not sure whether to keep group and disc it up or buy a complete new group. Hmmm

Had a bit of TLC, some new Chris King / Easton R90 SL wheels, and some Compass Barlow Pass (extralight).

Very nice.

Thanks. From the short test ride, the tyre and wheel combination feels pretty fast (especially compared to the Clement MSO 700x40 that were on there, before).

Super rad. After riding across Japan on the CAAD this would be exactly the kind of bike i would take if/when i do it again!

I’d love to, eventually. However, after brain surgery my skull is quite fragile, so such a ‘fall prone’ pursuit may be off the cards!

Yeah, it’s really good for the roads that’re a little off the beaten path. Also, some of the abandoned roads that get washed out by typhoons, etc. can be a bit sketchy on a pure road bike.
