• I'd say if you have £350 to spend on wheels and you're not going to be riding this day-in day-out, get 2nd hand carbon. Alu wheels can never hope to be as good.

    Also +1 to China carbon post and Kalloy/Hylix stem. Zipp SL70 bars are also nice for diminutive people

  • Have had a Hylix alloy stem on my road bike for a couple of years. It's the same as the Kalloy, just gloss black rather than matt anodised
