My only issue is that looking for shorter people (girl) sized items is a bit tougher even on ebay. Hopefully there will be some short people looking to unload :)

Have you got your frame already?
Most parts should be standard size apart from as you said, narrower bars. As long as your frame is the right size, the rest should be easy finds. Good luck!
Once you get some bits together, consider opening a current project build thread so we can see it evolve and people can offer continuous help and advice if you need.

True, I sold a 105 group with wheels for 150 on here. Think I might even have ended up dropping it down to 130 or something.
Keep your eyes peeled and take your time. There are a lot of bargains to be had on this forum.
Its also just a great place to chat with like-minded people and learn a lot. Welcome!
