• Thanks, really happy with the finish considering the price, and from searching online it's hard to find a bad word against it. I think it looks okay slightly dressed up, although didn't realise a watch could lose it's resistance to water from just age (not damage). What are we talking, 10+ years?

  • At worst. It kind of depends on how you treat it. The only areas susceptible to degradation is the gasket and crown thread.

    Try to keep it away from soapy water as it has a lower surface tension than regular water and can dry-out seals.

    Some people put a dab of silicon grease on the crown threads if they spend a lot of time in water but I've never bothered.
