You must have a big steerer, everything in the last few batches has been bored 0.1mm over the nominal steerer diameter to avoid the tight fit of the early ones.

I've always found this to be the case when my compression bung was installed too tightly.
-

Steerer bung installed to torque spec... No problem though!

Dry is fine, but carbon assembly paste won't do any harm if it puts your mind at rest.
Thanks for confirming!

I dont know how to copy paste lists
I think that's a fault with the way the site handles markdown.

The default size fits 1⅛" forks, and also works if you use a 1⅛" stem with a shim on a 1" fork. Caps for 1" or 1¼" stems are available at extra cost.

Ace! I'll have a go at photoshopping a simple design. Is there a preferred format for engraving?

2-colour .png based on the template file in the first post. Fancy-pants engraving may be extra, depending on complexity.

Got any Type 3s going?
I have one each of 1" and 1¼" in plain black which could be made into a Type 3 or 4, but there are no 1⅛" caps of any kind at the moment.

Had to take some fine sandpaper to the inside of my bearing cover to take the anodising off; wouldn't slide over steerer otherwise. But very nice and light. Not exactly the right diameter for my bike, as discussed, but actually looks very clean anyway. Cheers!
