  • Needs a black seat post imo. Otherwise it looks top

  • Received the chainring today, will settle with this for now. Excuse the gold, ghehehe.
Expecting the rear rim next week in the post, so contemplating if to wait for a Mavic hub or just ordering Victoire rear.(lower priced this month) What is the general vibe on Victoire hubs? Had Mack's before, but too long wait.

  • everyone says that! i like the silver.. ideally would have nice silver stem to try also.

  • That's nice! 2nd dibs?

  • Currently talking to @Sig_Arlecchino but if the sale falls through I'll let you know!

  • word! I certainly recommend small frames, its real fun. The only thing tho, my size 11.5 (uk) feet and the 93.5cm wheelbase makes for some mad toe overlap.

  • Wait wait wait, this is a joke bike, surely?

A 'before' picture before the seatpost was cut?

  • Nah bruv, dead serious. This is the 'before' picture before the sp was cut.

  • jokes aside, I think the pic on the page before shows the final setup. The second one is potatoshopped by tijs. I've since given up on the 50cm frame, twas probably a stupid idea. Heldrings alu pista on the other hand...

  • tbh im still not even sure if its a joke or not, but i ride it quite a bit (with the post like that in the first pic).. A couple of 30km rides and an 80km ride, its good and fast. Iv got long legs and arms so my riding position is less ridiculous than what ud imagine from looking at that picture haha! see for urself

Lol that photoshopped one still makes me chuckle @Tijs

  • ait wait wait, this is a joke bike, surely?

    Nope. 😂

    Edit: Too slow.

  • your knees nearly hitting your elbow, it looks really to short for you

  • Yeah it looks a really awkward riding position, unsurprisingly. Very low front end but you're reaching straight down rather than forward. Is that a load of uncut steerer as well?

I know Internet bike fittings is people sat at home telling others how to ride a bike, but still...it's much, much too small.

  • Haha yea, trust me we are all on the same page. Its small.

Picking up the frame for 35 pounds tho, i couldnt resist building it up, and then its just been fun to ride since. Not to mention posting pictures of it! Lots of controversy haha, and actually lots of positive comments too!

Ill sell it at some point when i find a different track frame that fits better. Hence the uncut steerer.

And dont worry tommm, the decision to setup and ride the bike like this was taken by me, and not the people sitting at home. Although internet bike fitting involves slammed stems and lots of saddle to bar drop, it also involves aesthetics for me. This set up takes those things too far, and is just straight up ugly ;)

  • well that looks kinda ridiculous, but whatever rocks your boat man...

    #internetbikefit

  • is this what a SRAM Force CX1 cassette hub looks like? My order from HED just arrived. I can't see how the cassette would fit - is there a part missing?

  • Small changes, same Squadra, much like. Considering throwing some deep profile wheels & drops on it.

  • is this what a SRAM Force CX1 cassette hub looks like?

That's a SRAM XD compatible hub, only works with their cassettes starting with a 10T sprocket. For normal SRAM cassettes starting with an 11T or 12T sprocket you need the Shimano HG compatible hub.

  • Small tweaks to my Pina, changed stem and seatpost back to ones I've had on different occasions in the past (Easton/DA 7700 seatpost, 3T Pro Chrome stem) to tweak riding position (further forward, seat lower, stem longer and lower). Also new wheels, Open Pro to DA 7800, and presently with Crud Road Racers for the rainy fall and winter to come here in Bergen.

  • Which brand/model are those mudguards?

  • It's about the same seat post height as me trying to fit on my 8 year old 24" wheeled Hoy Meadowbank :P

It's a nice frame Principia are well made and a steal at £35.

  • . update fail. Seems like only MK3 is available now: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/crud-roadracer-mk3-mudguard-set/
