  • Cake, as already stated try a different tyre size, maybe a wider rim (if you have a spare front wheel) dropping 5psi will make a big difference.

    Other options are a less rigid handlebar and softer grips, this can dampen down some of the vibrations.

    Tyre pressure is a personal thing. I had to run 30-35psi on Hans Dampfs because i had skinny rims and was moving fast, the tyre would roll at lower pressure, this was on rocky tracks and i wanted to limit pinch flats. Didn't get any flats, did get a bouncy skippy ride.
    On smoother slower tracks i dropped to 25psi.
    Play around lots with tyre pressure, see how low you can go.

  • Yeah already done all of these! Same set up I was running on previous steel 29er.

    Part of the reason for switching to the swift was that it can fit some bounce as opposed to my last bike which couldn't.

    But yeah, completley agree with you on pressure. Let out a load whilst we were out and it made a hell of a difference.
