  • Really didn't enjoy this when I had a bottle, Bourbon was overpowering

  • I liked the flavours but it was a bit light on mouthfeel. You know when you're expecting syrup and get sorbet.

  • ^^That was me, forgot I hadn't sorted my log in on my phone

  • This is nice:

Got that touch of sweetness that I like in American IPAs. This one's from 'straya.

  • Today I been mostly soaking and scrubbing labels off brown glass bottles.

    Grrr...

  • Rainshadow at the Buxton Tap. Got a bottle from lol as it's very good Imp.St.

Also can of Stones Ruination after seeing andy_k enjoy a can recently, it's cold already so having it with curry tonight.

  • Alphabet Brewing Company, A to the K. First sip told me 'would drink again'. So I did, several times. Bit fuzzy today...

  • Ready for tonight's session courtesy of the beer shop on Prince of Wales Rd. Kentish Town. Especially looking forward to the Duvel triple hop experiment

  • That Duvel is lovely

  • That's just part of the slightly random requirements that licensing committees can impose. I imagine someone turned up to the hearing, made that claim about street drinking, and the committee decided that this would be a good idea.

Obviously, given the proximity to where hippy lives and the fact that they sell Polish beer I'm more surprised that they didn't impose a requirement in place to restrict customers to a maximum of 7,000 bottles at a time, but the committee probably didn't realise at the time that he still quite a few higher-level beer badges to earn.

  • Can't go wrong with a De Molen, had a Laphroaig barrel-aged Rasputin a few weeks back. One of the best beers I've ever had!

  • Axe Edge still tasting nice and fresh (bottles 31st August)

Kernel Centinal Comet Summit IPA - also nice.

  • Anyone else tried the Siren Barrel Aged Caribbean Chocolate Cake yet? Well worth a bottle if you can wangle one...

  • I think I just experienced a weekend without a beer... I think.

  • @mmccarthy and @Psy came to mine a few weeks ago and brewed a blackberry gose made with icelandic lava salt (we so trendy)

Moving it to secondary tonight on more blackberries before bottling on Wednesday.

  • ^ That's a very polite way of saying we stood around generally getting in the way, asking silly questions and drinking beer.

  • haha you definitely managed to somehow be constantly stood in the way

If you're not drinking beer on a brewday you're not doing it right.

  • There's still 8+ casks on at New Inn in Ealing after their beer festival.

Don't ask me how I know, I'm busy working from home..
