@hamrack Do you mean the lock ring that Hunt supplies is wider than the Shimano version?
@Pete4Eyes Alas, yup, they're centre lock. And the callipers I bought come with 6 bolt rotors. Disc brakes are working out to be quite an expensive exercise.
Has anybody had issues using centre lock to 6 bolt disc brake adapters? I've bought a Kinesis GranFondo Ti, a set of Hunt Wheels and the TRP HY/RD callipers. Its my first time doing anything with discs and there appears to be a few issues to overcome.
First was that my 10 Speed Campagnolo cassette doesn't seem to work with the Hunt Campagnolo 10/11 speed free hub.
And now, I've just found out the front wheel with Hunts 6 bolt adapter appear to press against the inside of the fork, where the bulge from the bottom disc calliper mounting bolt is. This means the wheel won't rotate when clamped. The fork is a Kinesis Tracer 1.5 Disc. I imagine the Hunt 6 bolt adapters are pretty standard, and nothing specifically made for Hunt.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? Or is the 6 bolt adapter simply not compatible with this type of fork? Would using a centre lock front disc solve the problem?
Advice would be much appreciated as I really like to ride the bike!
