  • Hah hah thanks Matey, they look the shnizzle! :) Its* nearly *finished but this fork issue has set it back a few quid!

  • briankwan can u change the base plate on the forks?

nah, that would be just too darned easy ;)

Needs new forks i reckon, they were only 26nuggets from the bay, i'll put them up here for sale first before throwing them back where they came from!

  • you can still have the forks that were in the frame before you bought it...:-)....and they definitely fit
and the forks you have are for cannondale integrated headtubes.......they will work only look crap.......and the crown race fits the bottom cup perfectly....its just the fork that its wrong.....

  • Nooooo.... don't try to temp me you evil being you!!! I luuurve your forks but don't have the dosh you want for them :(

  • how much would you like to pay for them???:-)

  • .....as little as possible? ;)

i can't even remember how much they were last time, whisper me the lowest you would go and i'll see if i can come up with a get rich very quick scam!

  • Sorry for bumping

I have this same problem! Which brands of carbon forks fit flush to Chris King headsets?

  • Sorry for digging out a thread back from the day, but it seems I have a similar problem. Have anyone considered machining the crown race (baseplate) bottom to make it flat(-er) ?

This is how the crown race looks like: http://i.imgur.com/HYFBr.jpg -the bottom is curved a bit, I wonder if I could machine it a bit to make the gap narrower. The fork crown will still be bigger then headset, but might look a bit better.
