The plan is 650b fork on 700c frame.

Ah! Well the A2C measurement is 380mm. As a comparison the 26" LHT/Disc Trucker fork is 376mm and this is what it looks like with a 38c tyre.

Cheers Andy! So the straggler should give a bit more then yeah.
-
• #13055
I think they use the same fork crown, so you should get a tiny bit more height, enough for a 40c though? Not sure.

• #13056
Indeed it is a 26" disk trucker fork. Plenty of clearance for 650bx42 + guards...
@xkittyx yes made myself, first un-assisted frame... Reynolds 631 semi oversize front triangle, Columbus S Bend CX rear end...

Wow! That is really impressive. What a lovely bike.

Here's mine. Daily / punchy / toury. Now removed the curanas... too tight for the frame and the 30mm challenge tyres.

I'm impressed with this years offerings from Genesis
Fantastic value for £1500.
- tubus racks
- good groupset
- good mudguards with flaps
- dynamo with internal cables
- oversize cage
- pump peg
and amazingly, spare spokes on the NDS seatstay.
rear mudguard and front rack could have been setup better though for the photo. Also the downtube cage should be by the bottom bracket. Poor attention to detail these studio photos.

Wonky. The front rack would cast a shadow at night!

They did it correctly in some photos

Another 26" disc trucker fork with a 700c wheel (so add 4mm to this)
-
• #13064
Aint no thing, so will the tyre
-
• #13065
Cheers mate! Any idea on what tyres are on the wheels there?
-
• #13066
some noname supermarket 28mm tyre on a 18/24mm wide rim

Really really good looking.

Also repeatedly coming with bent forks. The finish feels a bit cheap as well.
I know it's pedantic, but they could have used a lower gauge wiring for the electricals. -

Depending on frame size the functionality of the everything cage can vary if under DT..
Not sure why they've switched to drops for this year, thought the flat bars with ergo were quite appropriate (and hydro disc on the more expensive)

• #13071
The wire is the standard B&M wire that is attached to the light, they can't really change it...
-
• #13072
Yeah noticed that the other day on a customers bike. SON use much better quality stuff.
-
• #13073
Great looking bike. And nearly road legal in Germany too.

Which Kona frame is that out of interest?
Why 700 in the 650 frame?
