What are the terms for riders? Minimum amount of shifts per week/month?
Could you for example, deliver one week and not for a couple?
thanks -

Is there a reason why bike deliverers get £1.50 per hour less than those in cars given that in most parts of London a bicycle will be considerably faster than a car?
-

Yes, the shifts are completely flexible. You can work 30 hours one week and none the next. It is completely up to you how much you work, whether it be part-time or full-time. If you have any more questions then let me know. Thanks

Out of interest, why do people on bicycles get paid less than those on motorbikes or in cars?
EDIT: duplicate question, soz. -

Cars are paid higher as they are allocated larger orders and have higher running costs like petrol, parking tickets and congestion zone. They also don't receive the £1 bonus per job which bicycles do.
Bicycles will typically complete 2 or more jobs per hour and will receive the £1 bonus for each job. The hours are completely flexible and you can complete the recruitment process and get out on the road in a matter of days!

Ok, that makes reasonable sense. Cyclists do have to fuel themselves too, though ;)

Maybe they also need to pay drivers more to cover the increase in their insurance from using for 'Business' and well as the usual SDP&C.
I wonder how many employees will be declaring that...! -

"The ability to think outside of the box and solve problems independently"
I would suggest that they amount to the same thing - a tautological sentence if there ever was one. Have you ever considered what 'thinking outside the box' really means, or do you just use it because of an inability to 'think outside the box' when putting together these little missives?

I wasn't being pedantic, I was being cynical.
Indeed, my cynicism may well be misplaced, but hackneyed phrases like 'thinking outside the box' are nothing more than flannel, really.

Do you provide insurance and other employee benefits?
Or is this standard race-to-the-bottom gig-economy exploitation.

I don't want to work for a company that subsidises parking fines. Shitty courier parking is often a pain in the arse.

When you say:
"We can pickup anything you want,
and deliver to your doorstep"what you really mean is
"We can deliver food to you."
I was expecting to be able to order stuff from other shops and get them couriered to me.

John Lewis
HMV
Harrods
Carphone Warehouse
I guess they don't do clothing but there's a fair amount of stuff on there -

I couldn't see any of them on the list. My EC1 office must not in a prime enough location.

Its all about W1F don't you know -

It is not parking fines, it is buying a ticket at a machine when you need to park your car.

We are still expanding our customer base throughout London but we do deliver much more than just food. Our app offers customers the chance to order electronics, gifts, beauty products and much much more. This means you can work throughout the whole day and not just at peak times like lunch and dinner.

You might want to check your idioms. Parking ticket is used to mean a fine or penalty.

Top quality road safety equipment with a flexible payment plan
As already asked, what does this mean and do you stipulate what riders should wear?
A road safe Bicycle
What does this mean and how do you ensure compliance?
-
• #24
You might want to check your righteous indignation, parking ticket does also mean ticket to park.
