So, after meeting Bruce from Upgrade/Kinesis on a rode the other day I have ended up with one of his two race frames from last year. The CX Race really is, to me, the frame set to mature into CX with. Right now I'll be building it with a mix of components coming off my summer race bike (recently built up, shots to come) and 1-2 items off my Surly Cross Check, which I've enjoyed riding CX on while I await a replacement race frame following a 30mph incident with a car.
Frame will initially be built up with linear pull canti mounted CX9s but the frame will also do discs so, if I'm successful racing CX this winter I will be converting it over to a full on race ready disc build a la bruce's original SRAM build. But right now it'll be:
