Had a complete fail trying to set up my new tyres tubeless with gorilla tape yesterday. On older WTB PowerBeam rims. Have them on and bedding in with tubes now, hopefully second time's the charm.
On the plus side, the 20" tube job I did on my 317's is holding strong. A little maintenance cleaning out mud from between the tube and bead hook and a little section of the seal, but it's performed amazingly. Just seems like it might be impossible to change the tyre while preserving the usability of the tube strip?
