I have an 8spd hub on my roadrat. It's great, but you need to keep the shifter accurately adjusted. Once a year I dunk the internals in gear oil and add a bit of extra grease inside. They last fine if you look after them. Chains hardly need replacing.The promax brakes will be poo, replace with hylex.

Thinking of getting one of these (through work so discounted) for winter commuting duties. Anyone used the promax brakes?
