I can afford it on the flats, it's the climbs where I need help :)

Did you finish building it? Let's have a look.

Patience. I'm waiting on new cable cutters and pads, but I've cleaned up all the components being switched over and got new cable inners ready to go in.

Can anyone recommend some matte finish bottle cages to go with an ultimate cf slx frame?

Very expensive, but the Arundle Mandible is the best I've ever used by a mile. Wiggle are currently the cheapest but I think only Sigma and Ribble have the 'matt oil slick' in stock.

There are mandible copies on Aliexpress, not sure of quality though

Canyon's own bottle cages are plastic but work well

Yes, I know I need to drop the front, but being 5cm shorter frame it's already 1cm lower than previous. I can't drop more than that at once, my back can't hack it. Went out on a steady changing on it y'day though... First impressions are it's def longer, better in the corners but twitchy up front. Probably due to the narrower bars. Feels very comfortable and able to hold 45 on the flats though.

Very nice, you are a giant. Weighed it?

Actually quite ok, grip a podium well and yet to have an eject on cobbles.
Decals are under the clearcoat, so needs some extra work. -

Not yet, and tbh I'm not sure I should as I fear I would lose a lot more money to wring saving. It 'feels' around the 7 mark.

Ignore what they say about spacers. If the fit is right the fit is right.

Looks like a decent saddle to bar drop.
I raised my bars last year. From -17 to -10 stem. Means I can ride with flat forearms while cupping the hoods. Which is more aero than a slammed stem that forces you to use the drops to get low.
Narrow bars in this position make a bigger difference than an aero frame I bet.

So got my Aeroad on Friday, looks sweet and I think the size is right. Cadence in Crystal Palace carry Giants which also have 1 1/4" steerers and integrated cockpits so going with them to get everything fitted and determine the appropriate stem length.
Looking to get a set of training wheels. Probably Fulcrum Quattros which are 23mm external/17C internal. Any chance of getting Conti GP4000 25mms on this frame?

Thanks for these, look awesome. Wiggle also just got them back in stock btw.

• #1521
It shouldn't be an issue, the stock bikes comes with 25mm tyres.
-
• #1522
GP4000s often fit larger so just wanted to check
Edit - Has Canyon ever clarified why they do different width tires on the stock setup?

I have a gp4000s 25c on the rear of my aeroad and it fits just fine. On a wide rim so measures 28mm. I assume the front would work the same.

^nice
Just know that you will be in a 5.5W deficit every time you hit 30 mph
