Hive mind, please someone point me in the right direction so I can at least research this:

Wall mounted speakers for my kitchen (2), connected to an amp and turntable only which will be on the surface of my new galley kitchen. Need to be able to handle decent bottom end as it will be mainly electronic music.

Price £500 top. Show me!

Do you mean bookshelf speakers or the type that are mounted to look like picture frames?

Audioengine A2s are tiny and pack a great punch.

Monitor Audio Bronze 1 seem like nice speakers for the money. (I haven't heard them but I have their big brothers the BX2 and a pair of BX5 in the secondary system and they're fantastic.)

They are same platform I think. I have an Aristom Audio RD80SE and I bet pound to the penny it's the same too.

At full extension ~41.5cm from the surface of the shelf, ~35cm from the deck itself. Can't tell you at which point the springs hold the lid up from, my hinges broke years ago.
