  • Never lean.

  • Would that be referring to 54c tyres on 17mm internal rims or my desired 35c tyres on 13mm internal rims?

  • I'm not sure leaning is a good idea.

  • I'd wait for the resident tyre expert to offer advice here.

  • Either, leaning fullstop just isn't worth the risk.

  • Trolling? You have to lean every time you turn a corner...

  • You're flirting with danger every time. Consider cycle training.

  • If you can't safely lean your bike maybe consider stabilizers.

  • I think it's safer to ride a trike.

  • TBF, old MTB usually have 17-18mm internal with that sizes tyres.

  • What? Training for what? Most people lean to a certain extent in corners.

  • True. I never measured mine or worried about it. Don't know why I've started now.

  • Anyone here used a frame bag with their Pomp? Would be good to know what fits, what doesnt etc.

  • I just grabbed a pompino frame in the sale. Does anybody know whether I'll need to chase the bb threads/cut the crown race before installing bb/headset respectively? Assuming I will.

  • My V3 needed the BB thread chasing on the drive side, the non-driveside was fine.

I couldn't comment on the crown as I had On-One install the headset. I'm interested to know though.

  • Could do with a trim on the stem, but she's rock solid, does 150k a week across London without missing a beat, and all with a bell that goes 'bring-bring'. Love her to bits.

  • You never need to.

If you want things to work perfectly and last as long as they should though...

  • Thanks @Cranky, @M_V. Dropped everything off at Seabass earlier, sure they'll make the right decision.

  • Anyone happen to know Pompetamine frame weight vs a Pompino? If they're using the same tubing (perhaps they're not) it can't be all that much more can it?

  • Pompetami v3 Large (with mono seatstay) was ~2200grams

  • Best steel disc fork to match geo of an origianl pompino one... Surly disc trucker, straggler, something else?

  • I'm running a kona p2. Same a/c and offset as original.

  • I looked for a Kona P2 fork about a month ago and they were listed as out of stock or no longer available everywhere I looked. The only source I could find was eBay. I didn't want to buy a fork I couldn't confirm the history of.
