Derby can now concentrate on coming 3rd-6th in the league and losing in the play-offs
-
• #130878
The way the faux scousers talk at the moment you'd think they've won league already. A tiny bit of perspective would be nice.

• #130879
Sounds better than my expectations.

• #130880
Nah - just enjoying the deafening silence from the Chelsea and Derby cohort in the last few days

The reserve league?
-
• #130882
Yes two very pleasing wins notched. The prematch chelsea lightshow was horrific, that better not be a sign of things to come
Pisti what's with the Naismith fume from your lot?

'Naismith fume'? 🤔

I don't think it's fair to say that you played a reserve team and we didn't.
Mitchell, our U23 team keeper in goal. Chris Baird starting only his second game of the season. Bradley Johnson recalled after having a stinking start to the season and getting injured/dropped after the last EFL cup round. Weimann starting his first game after injury. Bent back in the starting line up. Bringing on a 19 and 18 year old in the second half (game had gone just after half time). Also, our two main summer signings were both unavailable for selection. Hardly full strength there, which isn't saying much at the moment.
I think your "reserve" team with Firmino, Coutinho, Origi, Henderson, Clyne etc. cost more than our entire squad, which isn't cheap by Championship standards.
Well done.

The reserves line was a riff on Pisti's earlier comment

• #130886
Everton reserves are obviously just a bit shitter than Norwich reserves.

watched a fair bit of Chelsea v Leicester. enough to want penalties. and feel robbed
but don't think either team were particularly interested in the game.

Northampton should fancy their chances, especially if FSB* is playing

Liverpool will not be getting top 4. FACT
Just watch our results against the non challenging teams. That is the sign of a small time club; raising themselves for the big boys but getting bummed by the likes of Watford and West Ham.

Twitter is alive, or so it seems, with West Ham fans worried about 8,500 Chelsea supporters coming to Westfield. Simple solution: book early and secure your table in the Westfield Real Greek.

Toure's agent gives it straight to Checkbook Pep
“If Pep wants to prove himself as a great manager, then he should go to Real Zaragoza or Sunderland. Let’s see how good he is when he doesn't take over a great team and hasn't got half a billion pounds to spend."
KAPOW
He's far from guaranteed a starting spot in Liverpool's strongest team at the moment... you could argue that - from their team last night - only Clyne, Henderson, Matip and Firminio are guaranteed strongest-team starters just now... even Henderson is uncertain if Can comes back and into the team.
