Sad to admit that these are just too narrow for my silly wide feet. Really gutted because they're staggering light and amazing stiff. Only been worn 4 times and outside once. Some minor scuffs but you can't notice unless you're looking very closely.
As you can see, practically pristine.

    White, size - 45.5 EU (10.75UK)

Boxed, with unused aero covers & spare laces. I also will include a set on blue specialized BG inner soles as well as the originals.

Cheapest I can see online is £250 so I'm asking £125.

Collection from N19 (postage at cost.)

  • What size do you take in other brands?

  • That is an absolute bargain - I have 2 pairs of the 6 - they're the best shoes going

@dglshrn I've found that they're true to all other sizes - I've taken a 43 in Sidi, Giro, Shimano, Bont and take 43 in Specialized

  • I'm 45 in sidi and giro so these would probably be too big then. Bugger. Bargz.

  • I've got some nearly brand new size 45 Fizik R3B's in white for sale.

  • Cheers, but I've been waiting for a pair of white empires (dream shoe) to come up for a while, but could have been swayed by the spesh.

  • I sold both my pairs of Empire SLX after buying the SWorks

They are a whole other level of comfort, support and performance.

Pop to a shop and try a pair for size - if these were a 43 they wouldn't still be here!!

  • Staaaaahp!

  • @dick are the empires any wider? The problem I have it that I have normal with feet, apart from the base of my 5th metatarsal (i.e. my little toes bottom joint) sticks out.

The toe box is a good width its just the mid section.

  • Cant fit speedplays

  • I have the exact problem with every single pair of cycling shoes I've ever bought.

Empire SLX are by far the narrowest and caused me the most pain in this department.

Unfortunately it's just something that I've come to accept - that bit of my foot gets fucked if I ride 120km+ for more than about 4 days on a row.

The SWorks 6 are the only shoe I've had in a long time which allow me the pleasure of over 2 days riding before that part of my foot is in a lot of pain.
I religiously ice the fuck out of it after a ride if it's starting to give me shit, but generally, now I don't feel anything unless it's back to back long days in the saddle.
Some days I just want to take a Stanley knife to it.....

    I feel your pain

  • hmm Maybe I should go a size up, the length was fine though. I think I'm going to go for ergo 4 mega maybe

Just so awful looking compared to the sub6, Bonts look quite wide, but I suspect that's just the toe box.

  • my life is eternal search for wide shoes, I am about to get Lake shoes (literally today) which have the reputation to be wide, so do Northwave. Currently really enjoying Specialized Audax (on offer atm) .. I use 43 and I cant get my feet in Sub6 in 43 or even 44. Sidi mega are the widest IME. Bonts have or at least used to have wide and normal version in their pricey shoes. Giro does something called HV but not in empire.

  • oh and this is a total bargain

  • Bont see to do the opposite of a wide fit

I will have to try the Audax, I assume they would be the same as the sub 6

  • I find Sidi like boats, very ugly, and weigh more than me.

Audax have slightly wider heel pocket and a little more relaxed around mid foot - as well as more padding.

Bont Vapypor used to cripple me after about 30mins.

  • Yep what dick said, if you end up buying get spare heel lugs, they are soft but not as soft as sidi. I saw them for £149 in sigma today.

  • oh I want these so bad - you in westminster any time or peckham? Would like to try em on...

  • Not in Peckham if I can actively help it. I do work in Kensington though.

  • Right photos have been added to the first post.

  • Shimano standard fit is like Sidi Mega; they are basically a Dutch cycling brand with Japanese owners and made for northern European cyclists. And they have a wide fitting on top of that.

Italian shoe brands are made for freaks

  • I have shimano wide too .. still not wide enough, defo not as wide as Sidi mega. I tried on lake, they are proper wide .. almost as wide as sidi mega.

  • Could I try these on Spotter? Should be in town on Friday.

Note - one pair of my Ergo's is 45, the other a 45.5, the latter fits me slightly better I think but I do have different insoles across the two shoes.

  • I could get behind the RC9
