forgot the steering wheel is there for her to keep her car in a straight line

I haz a new car with 'lane assist'.

Holding the steering wheel is suddenly a bit 2015 to me.

It's the most ridiculous feature ever created.

Someone at work was telling me about that in their rental Volvo. Is that the thing where you're restricted making sudden lane changes without using the indicator?

Sort of.

It steers itself between the white lines so you can just let go of the wheel on the motorway. I guess it works on slower roads too.
