  • I only noticed it with 5 minutes to go, luckily the only bidder. seatpost is jammed but hopefully should be say to remove.

  • I had my eye on it but didn't think it would fit. Dig the yellow flite :)

  • Feeling a bit down. Put all the disc wheels on. Feel better.

  • The soviet bike (don't know how to type its name) might be one of my alltime favourite rat bikes! Keep the paint as it is!

  • Very nice build.

  • Thanks mate! I love it, it's such a fun ride. I've put probably 5000 miles on it since I put it on the road and did Dunwich on it year before last, but a couple of salty winters have really killed the paint.

  • With the X-2 you need to tighten the bolts VERY even. Almost like truing a wheel, make the same turns to every faceplate bolt. Or that's what works to me. Won't put titanium ones in there

  • 23 gators up front weren't cutting it on my commute so I sized up with pretty much the only option, RiBMo po$ted from Japan. Glad I did though they are lovely tires. 25 up front and also went up to 28 on the back.

Also did some upgrades, new bars, slavery stem, 7600 cranks, black finishing kit and black ring for some balance. Fun little bike this one.
Got some ATACs on their way and may switch out to a Concor, using a black saddle from the wifes bike.

  • Slam the stem

Nice! Black cranks would look sweet I bet. Also keep the risers!

  • Hold out on making the chop until you've tried it with drops, you might want a little more stack so you can be comfortable in the drops

  • Arrived today:

Plan is for it to live far down south doing a little bit of this:

    and also this:

As I'm only down there once a year the plan is not to get too fancy with the build. Tempted even to just get the newest Tiagra, but 105 or Veloce in black are close to the same price point and would look a little nicer still I reckon. Brakes, possibly Hy/Rd, will have to work out a budget and decide what's feasible though (group vs wheels vs brakes.. hmm).

  • A friend has one of those, love the colour.

  • Rad as hell! Where'd you get the frame? There aren't many of those out there. ;)

  • I'm going to have some brand new 11spd 105 and HyRd for sale soon...

  • Thanks bro, I bought it from here for a porny build but i prefer it for getting rad so I ride it as my daily now. Not too much low but plenty of cool :)

  • After far too much time spent trying to work out just what PF30 BB I should be looking at and with which crankset, this is seeming pretty tempting:

The catchily named Sugino EXP110-601D. 30mm spindle, I can get it in suitable combination of rings for where i'll be riding - the 46/34 option should be ideal. and it comes with a Sugino PF30 BB too.

All for about 155gbp - which doesnt seem too crazy from what I can tell looking around at various other companies PF30 BB options and conversions.

  • I'm having some neck pain riding this for medium-to-long distances... Thoughts? I'm really on the verge of refering it as too big for me.

  • Slow project I picked up, initially it was a full build in mostly Mavic parts. But I only took the frame, which I regret often. (As I now still have not ridden it..)

Still some Mavic on it and trying to get a full Mavic 520 with Open Pro 4CD rims together.

Looking for a Mavic rear track hub in 36h.. (as I have the rim) Otherwise going for something matching, Victoire low profile maybe.

  • Buy some sweep backs from SJS and do trigger shifters and ergo grips.

Size down the stem if you feel stretched.

    Doesn't look too big. Are you a t-rex? :)

  • This thing deserves its own cp thread! love it!

  • almost finished my Wilier.
I had a 100 mm 6º stem and I was not happy with my ride. I use lower handlebars on my other road bikes. Now with a 17º stem is much better. I had to use a this stem because the headtube is bigger than the headtube of my scapin or my "steelwalker".

Now I'm saving money for the saddle (slr carbon rails) that I also use on my road bikes.

  • Yeah, that's the way to go I think. That was actually my plan all along!

Ha. I'm about 5'10 and the top tube on this is 56cm... so yeah, I may have t-rex arms? Dunno.

  • Slowly Ratty Monkey...
