So I tried to ghetto convert my non-tubeless Kojak tyres yesterday with Gorilla tape and a valve from dead tube and it didnt work LOL. /csb

I didnt have access to air compressor/CO2 either. Just wanted to check if the bead snaps the way it does with an innertube. The only official tubeless component was the rim.

afaik, you're better off with a proper tubeless valve. I've tried a few few combos to make tubeless now, and the stans stuff always works. I know you're going super ghetto, but should have at least 1 element of the whole tubeless shindig to make it work to a degree.

This was just an MVP to get the hang of the process, will be getting Stans tape and Effeto valves once I have tubeless ready tyres .. or should I get proper stuff and try with non-tubeless ready Kojaks? I already have Effeto sealant and no access to air compressor.
