  • New front tyre + wet roads = me ridng like a wimp.
Took a roundabout upright, 15mph, and ready to throw my leg out like a motogp rider.

  • This looks interesting maybe. Ticket price not over the top either.

  • I'd say around 50ml, of the purest stuff you can get.

  • Done! Ran way better today till I got to an incline, which makes me think it might be water as the pump is to the rear of the tank. Reckon I might just clean the tank and pump this weekend.
    Really appreciate the advice.

  • ^^ Very nice!

  • Allocations exhausted for the London Distinguished gentlemans ride on the 25th of September.
    Anybody here doing it?

  • I did it last year. Was fun. May do it again. Surely you could just turn up and ride?

  • That's what I was thinking

  • not sure if i put this on here once before but i wanted to.

  • Just wonderful, though if that was the exact bike used in the British race at Cadwell that year, it has an unfortunate past...

  • Thanks for sharing that, makes me value my R80/7 a bit more! So nice to see all those shiny bits instead of the 40yr old stuff I have to deal with.

  • I just watched that in its entirety. Mrs Sparky looks like she wants to leave me, but I found it very relaxing.

  • I was a bit disappointed that they had the short block assembled.

  • i love that torque wrench used at 41:00

  • I have that very same one, first in a series of very dangerous encounters with 'the Snap-On man'. Probably the best purchase I made thinking back.
Enjoyed the video too, thanks for posting.

  • Passed the 3,000 mile mark on our trip today.

So fucking hot in Vegas and down into california. Still 100 miles to go until LA.

  • I did it last year, but sadly I'm out of London for a week. I will be there in spirit.

  • Yay - Vegas is unbearable. It's so bright and everything is so reflective you cook from every angle. If you can stomach a few extra miles, do the pearlblossom and then the Angeles Crest (the 2) into the city. THAT is the way to arrive in LA.

  • Think my bikes going to sell. Talking a deal.
So looking at blackbirds. Mad a decent one can be had for ~2k. Perfect to keep in the garage for getting places and touring.

  • Don't rule out the zzr1400.

  • Double the price really. + Prefer bb aesthetics.

  • Can someone please lend me a bunch of wrist tendons? What a pain the ass to be slender and old...

  • Can someone please suggest some nice full of curves road nearest/starting from north London?

Next spring I would like to go to Lynden Hill track for some peaceful fun and I need to get into the spirit..., I'm talking about curves not high speed...

  • Marco - you need to find yourself a couple of nice quiet roundabouts. Well surfaced, grippy, predictable. Amongst other spots - Rainsford Rd between Cumberland Ave and Coronation Rd used to be excellent. Two different sized roundabouts, linked by a nice sweeping turn. It's in the middle of an industrial park in Park Royal and very quiet and well lit in the evenings. Police used to pretty much ignore it.

Lydden Hill is a fun little track - might as well do Brands Indy though, even closer and lot more spectacular. Paddock hill is one of the best corners in the UK.
