Passed the 3,000 mile mark on our trip today.

So fucking hot in Vegas and down into california. Still 100 miles to go until LA.

Yay - Vegas is unbearable. It's so bright and everything is so reflective you cook from every angle. If you can stomach a few extra miles, do the pearlblossom and then the Angeles Crest (the 2) into the city. THAT is the way to arrive in LA.
