Nice one BRM, I'll live with it for a few days to get an idea what the score is. Couldn't hear the fan when stationary earlier but it's a cool day and it might just not have got hot enough. Is there a way to check whether the thermo switch for the fan is working other than just getting the car hot?

Edit. Got it, looked it up on Youtube. Think I'll drive to Italy instead :)

What does the heater do? Does it match the guage? Is there antifreeze in the car?

What kind of fan does the car have?

Mk1 Cortina or the Lotus cortina. Look at the Alan Mann racing ones.

How wobbly are the convertibles?

I'll have to let you know regarding the heater. The coolant seemed to be nice and green, it took 1/2 a litre to top it up. Unfortunately I used pink stuff which seems to get people very excited, will this much cause a problem? The fan is an electric one, what do you need to know about it?

If you're going 'vert, it's got to be black. And scruffy. You can play at being Hank Moody from Californication.

Actually I think they went straight from 964 to 997, so maybe not. :)
