If someone could help... I have no idea of what I'm doing...
I had for years a pre amp / power amp combo, QED C300 and P300.
All good, a little hmm noise, was always there, I got used to it, but apart from that it drives my speakers nicely (for my un-demanding standards)
When I got the combo, internet searches at the time lead me to believe that if I could find another power amp (the P300) I could use them as mono blocks. So for years I had an eBay alert for one. They came now and then but always for too much money. I got luckier last Sunday and got one for £63...
But I can't find anymore on the internets trace of the double block story, don't know if it's even true, and have not clue how to plug the whole thing... Any help resolving this would be much appreciated!
On pictures, what I've done, seems to work... Don't even know what input to choose, 200mV or 640mV (had it on 200 previously so kept it like that)
Ideally you would want to bridge the power amps to mono.
The way it is configured in the photos appears that you are only using one channel of each stereo power amp, so advantage of having two amps is reduced. More headroom on the power supplies, I guess.
