I can see where you might be coming from in that on my beach cruiser my watch crown would not be a problem if it was being worn on the left. On the other hand (pun intended) when riding my MTB it has to be on the right.
Yeah, MTBing I find it just bounces around and the crown starts to hurt so I wear it facing inwards. Commuting, it doesn't matter.
