Anyone with an interest in folding bikes probably knows of Airnimal, the UK company whose USP is folding bikes that handle like 'proper' bikes. Can't argue with that - this is light(ish), nimble, stable, fast and fun to ride. I haven't had it long and typically have made many mods/updates/improvements since acquiring it but change of plans means it's up for sale.
The Joey only comes in one size but is very adaptable - seat height can go from around 62cm to 88cm depending on saddle stack. The QR steerer on this one has been cut down but I have another one (in silver) that is full height for any taller riders, will include it anyway. As shown it is set up for me at about 5'10" with a 75cm saddle height. I upgraded the fork to a disc one which makes dropping out the wheel to fold so much easier and quicker. It has the 3-piece commuter kit which is a stem holder on the top tube (uses the bottle cage mounts but I will include a clip-on bottle cage), a bracket for the rear triangle that the bike sits on when folded, plus a front wheel holder that attaches to the rear disc brake mounts, this both stows the wheel and allows you to wheel the folded bike on the front wheel. All the following are recently new:
Folding pedals, cassette, chain, cables, grips (Oury), bars, saddle, disk fork and the QR steerer to name but a few.
Everything else is sound and in good shape, save for usual cosmetic scratches to the frame from folding/stowing/use.
Tyers are new Pasela PT that roll well and 2 part-used spare tyres are included along with 2 spare inner tubes and a set of grubby SKS race blades adapted by Airnimal for the bike.
It is rear disc ready if you wanted to add that yourself.
The current new model starts at around £1149: http://airnimal.eu/products/joey/sport/#.V9qiWzvtKng
So how about £649? -->> PRICE DROP TO £629
Viewing/test ride welcome, I'm in SE1/Waterloo.
