Lovely. Great scenery and bike. Shame about the saddle pack rubbing the tyre. Out of interest, what's the handlebar bag you're using?
Edit: it's ok, found it.

Bone shot is giving me a boner. Sounds like a decent trip.
You know Americans call midges minges. Saw it on countdown once. Must be true

Part 2 tomorrow-hoping the weather gods are just as kind as they were today...

Have you tried the saddle pack without your d lock on it? Don't think they are meant to cope with that much weight.

What a great way to break in a new bike, and what a cool bike to do a trip like that on! Awesome.

Yepp back rack mounted. Had to order from netherlands, as it's not distributed in Oz. Did the order and was semi anxious as the rack description explicitly says "not suitable for disc brakes", but the sliding dropouts mean that you can just jig them to the back and the rack mounts just fine. Also you get that little bit more rear distance that's really makes a difference helpful when the child seat sits on top.
For some reason the adjuster screws and lock nuts went missing, even before I mounted the rack. Must've been loose and fallen out. grmpff

You did get that I live in Australia, right?
-

Yeah but if you have a rear clip on you may as well go full :-)

Nah, that was a free giveaway from bombtrack cycles during a recent fun ride here, i ain't spending on mudguards for 8 weeks of the year.

Superb. Orange is a great colour for a bicycle, especially with black parts. Cranks are really nice; I want them too. Whole bike is on point. Only thing I'd do is look at the front fender.
