Every time I've looked at insuring bicycles against theft or damage, the cover available has been either completely useless for nice bikes or so expensive that you're better off self insuring.

Why not wireless?
Speed, security, reliability.

Digital cameras.
I have one of these from circa 2010. It was quite good, then, and has plenty of manual control which I like, and a nice fast, wide lens.
It's sat in my drawer for a year because phone cameras and instagram.
Question/s: how far has 'enthusiast' camera tech moved on in the last six years? Has the tech moved on so far that upgrading to the LX-100 or something shinier like the Sony RX-100 IV would be a good idea for posh holiday snaps?

It used to be available on most home contents insurance policies with no problems claiming. I had a £2k claim that went through fine (with John Lewis' predecessor, not the current one). But then the insurers are finding that bikes are stolen so much that they're trying to limit their losses by limiting the single item value, or the maximum value claimed for bicycles.
What you'll generally find is that yearly bespoke bike insurance costs 10% of the total value of the bikes.
I'm with M&S but I haven't checked the latest paperwork to see if they've changed their wording so I may not have them completely insured.

Does hot weather make cars and buses give off my pollution? Or does it just feel that way for other reasons? I could barely breathe during my ride home through the city yesterday, its bloody disgusting.

There is a shower/changing room at work which I am the only daily user of. It is South facing, has no blinds and no air con. By the time I get to work at about 8:45 it is often hotter than the outside temperature. Over the summer I go in to change but am unable to cool down at all. I have asked for change but nothing has been done. Are they under any obligation to me to provide less temperate facilities?

Make the best of a bad situation and put one of these in there?

Start drying your junk in the office, something will soon be done.

Tailpipe emissions shouldn't be unaffected much if at all by ambient temperature, but sunlight can transform them into more unpleasant secondary pollutants.

That could explain it.

What are the Showers Pass sizes like? Large says 44" Chest but 34" waist, seems an odd combination.

• #78863
Not that odd - sounds like a great fit ;)

Why has the Shimano external BB I just bought got smaller cups and an adapter to make them fit a regular Hollowtech2 BB tool?

Seen what looks like a crack going through the centre of this bulge in the seat tube. From other Columbus air frames I've seen they sometimes have holes in that spot. Crack is only on the extra bit of material, not on the tube. Should I be worrying about it?
Edit : oops forgot the picture

Was thinking of using this cable? amazon.co.uk/dp/B00EOTHDWQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2YOE8KC4JORMH&coliid=I3T6UKN5KPPVW&psc=1
Well it's a fair bit cheaper than this, that's for sure: http://www.cablenet.co.uk/cgi-bin/list.pl?Sku=39~3015

The rust is structural, right?

did the posts by the forum member who collided with a lady on Old St who died as a result back in Feb get nuked? He's been sent for trial at the Old Bailey
-
• #78874
I wonder if the posts could be relevant to the trial tbh...

That's a bit fucking grim... For all concerned...
We added our bikes to our LV contents policy and it covers outdoors too. We've never claimed and I'm not sure it'd cover that much. There might be a per-bike limit. I should probably check...
Edit: sorry, it's More Than.
