I wonder about this. I think the conversation has to be kept positive, otherwise bad feeling ensues. I kept my trap shut this morning as I marvelled at the flatness of the (yellow) tyres on the single speed ahead of me as I headed into the city. I said nothing yesterday when I was passed by another guy running a radially-laced rear wheel on his track bike. Actually, I wish I had said something to him, but the moment passed.

This is utter BS.
I have tried to lessen the anger I normally feel against fellow riders by striking up conversation where possible. Let's call it frustration offsetting. Complemented someone on their Holdsworth and someone else on something with sick fadez. Also tried to point out to the guy riding with a single break and no foot retention that he was fucked if the cable snapped, but he kept insisting "it's a fixie, bro!"
