  • meh, close enough

It sounds like C-level fuckery though. Is your bike in a prime spot that they feel like they're entitled to?

  • i think so. more importantly my bike always ends up hung right up against the wall where presumably posh bollocks is scared the massive stainless steel stepladder stored in the same area might scwatchy watchy his bikey wikey.

fuckit, i'm going to go down there at lunch and glare for a bit.

  • Half a turn clockwise on the rear derailleur barrel adjuster each time, quick unnoticeable annoyance that'll have them running to Evans for new cables in no time.

  • rear derailleur barrel adjuster

    a wut?

    That is outstanding.

  • Take their bar end out, then pop a ball bearing in and reseal.

  • Turny thing on the back of the dangly thing by the back wheel.

  • Can you lock yours to the rack/hook?

  • Lock theirs instead- wheel to frame and leave a contact email:

    yesiamadoucheandidlikemybikeunlockedplease@gmail.com

  • some interesting saddles going on in london these days. saw a guy riding a black surly with h+son wheels who had a cambium pointed 45deg up. and a guy with his saddle 180deg backwards.

    je ne comprends pas

  • Take their bar end out, then pop a langoustine in and reseal.

    ftf etc

  • langoustine

    Top middle-class trolling! ;)

  • tbh, either is fine.I go the opp way to edmonton green from croydon and use the a10 pretty much. Some days I turn at seven sisters/finsbury park/camden for change of route.

you can turn at finsbury park to go toward highbury and islington, into angel, through clerkenwell up to covent garden and down to victoria. or down the a10 and take the cs1 to old street

  • I do Manor House - Finsbury Park - Camden. It's bus lanes most of the way so generally OK and reasonably fast unless you get stuck behind a load of busses in which case it can take ages to get past. Lots of traffic so not hugely pleasant and a lot of traffic lights though.

  • The gyratory system/roads from finsbury park to camden may slow you down depending on traffic. But downhill into camden ....

  • noticed some passive aggressive bike lane blocking by black cab driver. Trying to make a point on cycle to work day?

  • 180deg backwards

    Where else would 180deg point?

    /# pedant's united

  • Could be upside down.

  • Can you get a good flat white though?

  • (stolen unashamedly from memes thread...)

  • or upside down and backwards

  • Sounds like a good excuse for getting a Brompton until you get a slot allocated.

  • Some good coffee places here. So, yeah.

  • Should be about 28 miles each way.

! Are you going to be doing this every day? (Fwiw, whenever I've done this I've come off the river at Markfield park, headed down Seven Sisters Road all the way to Holloway, then turned south to pick up the river at Blackfriars. This is mostly due to my inability to learn a better route. Might be slightly nicer than the A10, though?)

  • 360deg backwards
