Is it anti? Why not aero covers?

Why not aero covers?
The vortex coming off the pace vehicle is designed to provide a permanent tailwind, reducing aerodynamic drag would actually make it slower.

147mp/h. I'd say this belongs in functional as the deisgn is dictated by its function. deffo not anti

Hmmm. Not sure about that.
I understand the vehicle is providing the low pressure pocket.
However I would have thought the bike should be as aero as possible.
I mean. You wouldn't tow a rickshaw.
Marginal gains.

^^ So that's why Guy Martin's 112.9mph was only declared as a British record. I guess Guy didn't have any Salt Flats to do it on.

Does it have 20 inch wheels or is she a giant? Seem oddly counterintuitive to have small wheels, given that land speed record cars tend to have horse-cart sized wheels.

Wheel size would he dictated by which OTP tyres they could get which were rated for 150mph on salt.
-
• #40717
Infact modern land speed attempts use relatively small wheel size.
As proved by Donald Campbell.

• #40718
Ha! Can I get that in gumwall please?

• #40719
Yeah, suspension seatpost.
