We have inadequate bike parking here, and a bunch of us have started bring our bikes into the office in an act of peaceful civil disobedience. Office manager has given up trying to stop us.

Take the bike into the office. -

Do they issue a specific pass to give you access to the bike area? Technically our bike spots are all allocated but the same thing is happening as with your office i.e. half are empty.
However the pass for the normal entrance is the same for the rear entrance / bike area and the security guy doesn't look twice as long as the security pass works.

Commuted all the way to the dining table today. And Bristol's sunny. Seems like a bit of a waste.

Where we are there is one stand with room for 5 bikes in a nice covered areas. Our employer has to pay frigging £15 per month per key. We have 4 keys. Another company has the other key, though I never see "strange" bikes in there.
And we are not allowed to park under the stairs cos "health and safety". And yes you need one badly parked bike in an emergency and it can end badly, fair enough. We can't bring them in either, cos office enforcement police.
Guess what happens, we just share the keys and cram 6 bikes in if we have to. I bet 7 fit too with a bit of squeezing ;)
It's a bit ridiculous as there are lot of extra car parking spaces but what can you do, the landlord decided to charge and our company has to suck it up.

commute mostly ok, proper scorchio.
bishopsgate / wormwood street - witnessed a driver in a property management company van deliberately attempt to clip a messenger (LMNH cap, green bag with LCEF patch... on here..?) It was minimal contact, I'm not sure the rider even realised what had happened and they carried on fine. the driver got all shouty at me just for glancing in his direction so I didn't bother engaging with him. felt anxious for the rest of the journey. got decent footage of the incident, will log with roadsafe.

I'm moving back to Herts in a couple of weeks and will be aiming to continue commuting into Victoria. Should be about 28 miles each way. I've done it before, but it was before the Embankment CSH.
I think I'll be coming down through Broxbourne, Cheshunt etc and then down the old A10 through Tottenham etc. Am I best off heading towards Seven Sisters/Camden/Regents Park rather than heading straight down through the city and around Embankment? Any alternatives?

No, no bigwigs. Just people who are never willing to give up their spots when asked claiming that they need them even though they are not using them at that time and facilities people who arent willing to enforce the use until they need to because we are losing access to some. The allocations are controlled by our own facilities people so they are aware when people leave.
I will bring up these points though when I go to raise it. Thanks.

Suggest a first come, first served system.
Then you just have the problem of people leaving their bikes for weeks / months at a time, taking up spaces.

All of our passes have access through the loading bay. They have a security guard there every day who just checks your number and name against a list. My first course of action is going to be trying to just be friendly with security to let me use other people's numbers on days when I know they are not using it. Its just that some of security are on power trips and arent practical about these things.

For srs? Have you tried passive/active aggressive notes with your contact details should they wish to discuss further?

Security? Do you mean OFFICE POLICE?

Anyone know a faster (as in being able to go fast, rather than taking a shorter length of time overall) route between Shoreditch and Soho than the obvious Old Street -> Clerkenwell Road -> Oxford Street? Would like to get my sprint on from time to time as current journey is too much of a stop start stroll.

Hah, that would be great trolling :)
But then we'd have to cough it up ourselves as there's no way the company will pay for it.
The rationale of the landlord was that the shed costs £5000 (it's covered and lockable)
That parking spaces are included with the lease alreadyBut no word on a discount once the shed is paid off... ;)

does making mental notes to do just that but subsequently failing to do just that and instead moaning about it on a twatfilled ficksy biek forum count?
The Farringdon Road crash sounds bad. There will most likely be something in the Standard later.
