  • Where did you get the paint done?

  • powdercoaters near Brum, Lankies refurb. they do some good work.....the pics don't do the paint justice....it has a holographic metal flake in the laquer...and looks really cool in sunlight.
two colour fade, and metal flake laquer..............£70.00

  • I UTFS - doesn't appear to be a Dave Marsh aficionados thread yet, so this could be the starter bike once you get it finished. i'll add my 653

  • gotta finish this one now

  • Brum as in Birmingham?

  • Small world, lankie is a friend of my younger brother. His works quality. And yeah brum as in Birmingham!

  • hi Dazzrie,
    whereabouts in brum you based

  • Lankies look interesting, and well priced, although obviously their main line is cars not bikes. But more than half the price of Argos

  • Mark the owner, had done several bmx frames etc, and is well known in the area for his excellent work with alloy wheels etc. id seen some of his work , so entrusted my old 753 steed to him. a much better job than Bournes....(although they are good also, but don't do fades/ sparkle etc. ) masking could of been slightly better, but a sharp blade and a bit of patience, was worth it for an excellent job, at a fraction of the cost of "specialists" anyone thinking of a new colourway...give him a go !! you wont be dissapointed

  • I'm from Nechells, and bournes has done fades before on a set of Saab wheels my friend had done. Need to speak to phil when you phone

  • ahhh I see.....not a million miles from weoley castle. I have used Bournes before, and as I say they were very good.....

  • Yeah not to far. Are you going to the bike fest in town on Sunday? There gonna have a pop up velodrome there. Looks good!

  • working away this weekend unfortunately !!!!!!

  • I'm in the capital this weekend so I miss out also 😢

  • More details on this please?!

    Is the main website.

The velodrome can be found here
