  • Hmmm, any chance you can describe what the pain was and where it was hurting? I've got a problem at the moment on the outside of my kneecap, from top to bottom, and I think it's ligament based as I've had loads of problems with that knee in the past.

    Just seen this. The one thing I learnt from this is it's very unwise to self diagnose. I was convinced from all my research that I had patella tendonitis. I didn't. £45 for a decent physio exam, tape and exercises to correct. Had I self diagnosed I'd have sacked my season and needlessly lost heaps of fitness.

  • Good advice, mine's not so bad now, haven't ridden to work for about a month now but got out on the bike Sunday and it was heaps better, off on hols Friday so hopefully the extra rest will help heal it... if not, off to physio to see if they can find out what it is!
