how dark do they do in full sun, how light in shade, and how good is transition time?

Light enough to see in dark, dark enough to shield sun. But not as dark as my iridium lenses.
Transition time is pretty quick. Personal opinion though.Edit: Posted same youtube video.

I did the Dunwich dynamo in a pair of photochromic Oakleys, they were fine, and they're fine at night provided they're clean, if they're not street lights become annoying pretty fast.
