As a non-vegan, I'm tremendously keen on the prospect of environmentally-friendly milk. Also means I can stop wasting expensive raw milk in my tea.

On purely ideological grounds, I can't see why anyone should oppose the process. It's a similar development to industrial insulin production.

Me neither, but I went to a London Vegans thing once where a speaker talked about milk (and meat) being produced in this way and there being a general acceptance that this was abhorrent. It wasn't really explained why.
